IYI Party MPs Visit Soldiers Injured in Drone Attack
İYI Party Group Deputy Chairs Turhan Çömez and Buğra Kavuncu visited the soldiers receiving treatment at GATA who were injured in a drone attack in northern Iraq. Çömez stated that the attack was carried out by the PKK and said, “The attacks are being concealed, now there is no way these incidents will be denied or hidden anymore.”
THEY VISITED THE SOLDIERS
Çömez and Kavuncu visited the soldiers in the hospital and made a statement.
Çömez reported that there was a terrorist attack in the Metina region in northern Iraq, saying, “18 PKK militants carried out the attack. Two of them are high-level leaders sought by Turkey in the red category. They attacked our unit with 24 drones. 9 of our soldiers were injured, and 3 of them are in serious condition.” It was also reported that one of the soldiers had his arm amputated.
Buğra Kavuncu, who promised to attend the wedding of one injured soldier, stated, “I called the father of our soldier three days ago to express my condolences. I asked questions about the incident, paused for a moment, and then we said ‘from the other side.’ You cannot end the treacherous attacks of the cowardly terrorist organization by hiding them. This silence is not right. These are young kids.”
